Inactive Account Policy

Effective Date: 11 August 2026

1. Definition of Inactive Account

An account is classified as inactive if there has been no login, transaction, or any other activity for a continuous period of 12 months. Accounts with only passive holdings (without active SIPs or trades) may also be reviewed under this policy.

2. Notification Process

  • At 6 months of inactivity: First notification via email and SMS.
  • At 9 months of inactivity: Second notification and request to confirm account activity.
  • At 12 months of inactivity: Final notice before account is marked inactive.

3. Impact of Inactive Status

  • Active SIPs and SWPs will be paused.
  • Algo strategies will be suspended.
  • Account access will be restricted to view-only mode.
  • Existing holdings will be maintained safely.

4. Reactivation

To reactivate an inactive account, log in to the Unicrore app and complete the reactivation process. You may be required to complete a fresh KYC verification if your details are outdated.

5. Dormant Account

Accounts inactive for more than 24 months will be classified as dormant. Dormant account holdings will be maintained but all active services will be disabled until reactivation is completed.

6. Unclaimed Holdings

In case of prolonged inactivity beyond regulatory thresholds, unclaimed funds or securities may be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) as per SEBI regulations. Investors may reclaim such funds through the IEPF authority.
